SHADOW WOODS METAL FEST 2017 Announced; Metal & Camping Weekend To Kick Off In September

For the third year in a row, the invitation-only Shadow Woods Metal Festival is set for Thursday, September 14th through Sunday, September 17th at White Hall, Maryland’s Camp Hidden Valley. The popular festival will host 39 of the underground’s leading bands, representing all genres and subgenres of heavy metal. But there is much, much more to be experienced and enjoyed at SWMF once again this year like camping, various artist workshops, yoga classes, food vendors and more.

Taking place on four stages, a gathering of some of the best underground and extreme metal bands like All Hell, Castle, Churchburn, Cut The Architect’s Hand, Dee Calhoun, Earthling, Foehammer, Heavy Temple, Panopticon, Seasick Gladiator, Toke, Withered and many more will perform. First Annual STARKFEST 2017 Announced; WAFT, ALL HELL, COME TO GRIEF, CRAWL, SWALLOW THE SKY, BASK, MIDMOURNER & More Scheduled

One of the best, largest gatherings of underground extreme Metal and Hard Rock bands and their music has been announced with the first annual Starkfest 2017! The two-day and a half day (with pre-show) event is set to ravage Thomas Creek Brewery in Greenville, South Carolina beginning on June 1st to the 3rd. There will be a pre-fest show at Radio Room in Greenville as well that will include several must-see bands. But that is just the start of festivities as the roster of acts for it and the full-on fest weekend is an impressive array of sonic brutalists.

Between both locations you can expect performances from Black Mountain Hunger, Death/Of, Kingdom Faust, Tone, Waft, Abacus, All Hell, Cazador, Dreaded, False Light, Mothmother, Uninhabitable, WVRM, Avalon Steel, Bask, Bathe, Canopy, Cikada, Come To Grief, Crawl, Heathen Bastard, Midmourner, Swallow The Sky, Tar Hag and The Asound.

Along with all of the enjoyable features at Thomas Creek Brewery itself there will also be food truck vendors and folks on hand from retail record outlets including Greenville’s own Pharmacy Records. Starkfest 2017 is being brought to music fans from these sponsors along with Iron Rust Productions.
